A dimly lit room, shear curtains drawn sunlight peeking through the window. Falling on my face. Smell of my perfume lingering in the room. I stirred in sleep.
When suddenly a pillow lands on my face.
Ahhh!! Who the hell. I knew who it could be.
"Yashvi di pls sone do yaar!!"I whined.
[Yashvi let me sleep]
"Madam, ut jao it's 9 o clock" She shouted.
[Wake up its 9]
"Haan, 9 toh roz bajte hai. Ab jao yaha se."
I Replied frustrated.
( 9 o'clock strikes every day, now go away)
"Ji 9 toh roz bajte hai lekin roz apka pehla din nhi hota." (Another pillow lands on my face. )
("Yes, 9 o'clock strikes every day, but it's not your first day every day.")
"Fresh up hoke neeche aao. Mujhe tumse baat karni hai" She said and Walked out of room
[Get freshened up and come down. I have something to talk]
Hmm.
Then I woke up. And when I gained consciousness I remembered it's my first day. And I can't be late.
Wait! Let me introduce,I'm Ruhaanika Mehra, A law practising student well I have completed my internship and today I could get my first case .
"So, shortly I'm a Criminal lawyer by profession, storm by reputation. I don't raise my voice - my words are enough. Courtrooms know me as the woman who never backs down, and opponents know better than to underestimate me. Secrets? I keep them better than case files. Justice isn't just my job - it's my obsession."
I freshened up and went down. I entered living room where everyone were present. I had my breakfast in silence. I don't prefer talking too much.
Then Yashvi called me to her room. As she wanted to say something.
I entered di's room. She was walking back and forth. She looked nervous. She stopped as her eyes got me.
She said in a small voice. " Ruhi, You remember Riddhaan ryt? He was my senior."
"Hmm" I replied.
"Aah, ac- actually we are dating and we have decided to get married." She said gulping her nervousness.
Okay, I surely didn't expect this.
" Hm, good for you. " I replied.
"Aren't you surprised to know? "
"Hm.Chalo kisi ne toh tum par ghass dali hai. " I replied sipping water.
( atleast someone paid attention to you.)
She rolled her eyes and said " Come home early. They are invited for dinner."
"Mujhe dekhne thodi aa rahe hai."
(They aren't coming here for me.)
She shot back " Aa jaogi toh tumhara ego kam nhi ho jayega. Aur kya pata tumhara pathar dil mere devar pe aa jaye." She smirked.
("Coming over won't hurt your ego. And who knows, maybe your stone-cold heart might just fall for my brother-in-law.")
The water in my mouth split out a little.
" Shut up! Pagal toh nhi ho gayi."
( have you gone mad.)
I rolled my eyes and walked out. But I could sense her smiling.
I heard my phone ringing. It was a call from Aashvi. ( her friend.) As soon as I picked up the call. I could hear her shouting on the other side
" Behen kaha ho, kaam par aana bhi hai ya nhi." Only this women can talk to me like this.
("Sister, where are you? Do you even plan on showing up to work or not?")
"Aati hu."
( I'm coming.)
I ended the call, picked my stuff and walked straight to my car and drove to office.
Her outfit.
I entered the seminar Hall. Where Aashvi was looked engaged in a case file and the other colleague were seated in groups discussing cases. Almost everyone had their first cases. Except four members including me and Aashvi.
I admit it's because of me. Coz I have lots of clashes with our senior - Mr. Mishra. Which also affects Aashvi as she is my friend.
Aashvi is my childhood friend. She knows me pretty well than anyone else.
I joined Aashvi and peaked into the case file.
Hmm. The case seems interesting.
After few moments we all settled in our respective places.
We four were called to Mr. Mishra's cabin. And informed that the client himself would come for the discussion of the case.
Then Mr. Mishra entered with his resting bitch face and announced.
"This is your first case, so don't get carried away. The client is extremely valuable to us, and we cannot afford even a single mistake. Let me be clear-one misstep could cost you your entire career."
I know whom did he intensional meant it for. I also know that he'll try his all will to exit me from this case. But I'm "THE RUHAANIKA MEHRA . " I'll lead the case as much as possible.
Then the glass slide of cabin opened...

I hope you all like the story so far.
I know the story is a bit boring.
The first 1-2 chapters will be boring coz it's intro. So do not judge so early. Atleast wait till 10 chapters.
